WHAT TO EXPECT DURING A 15-MINUTE CONSULTATION
During our 15-minute consultation, we will discuss what brings you to counselling, and what you hope to get our of our time together. Because counselling is a deeply intimate therapeutic relationship, it is important that it feels like a good fit for both involved. If it feels aligned, we will continue working together (yay!), if not, that is perfectly okay too (also, yay!).
WHAT TO EXPECT DURING A 60 OR 90-MINUTE COUNSELLING SESSION:
​​​During a 60 or 90-minute individual counselling session, you can expect a comfortable and confidential environment where you can freely explore your thoughts and feelings. The session typically begins with discussing your current concerns or challenges, where I listen actively, provide empathy and support. Together, we'll identify patterns, set goals, and work on strategies to address your needs. The session may involve talking through specific issues, practicing coping skills, or exploring underlying emotions. By the end, you’ll leave with a clearer understanding of your situation and actionable steps toward improving your well-being.
WHAT IS CRANIOSACRAL THERAPY?
Craniosacral Therapy is a unique healing modality that focuses on the Craniosacral system. Just like our endocrine system, cardiovascular system, immune system, respiratory system (etc), the Craniosacral system functions on its own without any help from us. This system includes the cranium, spine, sacrum and the cerebrospinal fluid. The cerebrospinal fluid is the fluid surrounding the spinal cord, brain and all of the bits in between. Through everyday stressors and additional trauma (physical and emotional), this fluid may get sticky and cause restrictions in the body. Think of this fluid as the oil to the engine of a car. When the oil hasn't been changed in some time, the car does not run optimally.

As a practitioner, I tune into your body's unique Craniosacral rhythm, evaluating and looking for restrictions. Through gentle touch and palpations, I remind the body that it already knows how to heal itself. It simply forgot.
It is recommended to have 3-4 Craniosacral Therapy treatments close together when first beginning this journey and then one session per month for optimal benefits. As the body grows accustomed to this modality, it can go into a deeper state of relaxation and meditation where restorative healing can occur. As always, this varies depending on each individual and their needs. It is up to you to decide what feels right and is best for your health.

Craniosacral Therapy is beneficial for persons experiencing chronic stress, tension and fatigue, anxiety, trauma and depression, headaches and migraines, autoimmune conditions, emotional discomfort, sports injuries, birth trauma, concussion, arthritis, scoliosis, post-partum, digestive issues, TMJ and teeth grinding, disturbed sleep patterns, somatic symptom disorders, brain and spinal cord injuries, PMS and hormonal imbalances.
